Experience and expertise are what sets Hullah & Associates apart. The combination of a strong technical and practical background is demonstrated in all members of our team and ensures that we are able to provide a level of expertise not readily available elsewhere. Hullah & Associates was established in 1997 by Michael Hullah and Caryl Malcolm, the two principles of the company.

Mr. Hullah has over 45 years experience in the construction industry and is a Professional Quantity Surveyor. For many years, Mr. Hullah was employed by a major general contractor, acting as a construction manager on many of the major construction projects in Western Canada. Since 1989, he has provided a wide range of consulting services to government, contractors, owners, and the legal profession. He is recognized as an expert in all aspects of construction, with an emphasis on construction contracts, industry standards and practices, management and claims assessments and analysis.  Mr. Hullah has been actively involved in many of the construction associations including Past President of the Calgary Construction Association, Past Chair of the Alberta Construction Association, and a director of the Canadian Construction Association. He is also committed to bringing information to the construction community and regularly provides presentations on contracts, estimating, construction claims and other related topics.

Ms. Malcolm has over 18 years of industry experience and is a Certified Engineering Technologist. After graduating with a diploma in Structural Technology, Ms. Malcolm worked as a construction estimator and project administrator for several major general contractors in Western Canada. Since 1990, she has provided consulting services to the construction industry with Mr. Hullah with a main focus on claim assessment, analysis, mitigation and support.

In addition to the principals of the firm, we also have a number of associates with specific strengths and skills that are complementary, when required for specific projects.
